NJUA Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Scholarship

The New Jersey Utilities Association offers annually two (2) four-year, $1,500 per year scholarships for minority, female or disabled students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited college or university.

This scholarship is offered to all high school seniors who meet the following criteria:

  • currently a high school senior
  • a New Jersey resident  and a legal resident or citizen of the United States with permission to work in this country
  • a woman, a disabled person or a member of one of the following minority groups:
            o Hispanic or Latino
            o Black or African American

            o Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
            o Asian
            o American Indian or Alaskan Native
            o Two or more races
  • have demonstrated overall academic excellence
  • can demonstrate financial need

Children of employees of any of the following NJUA member companies are not eligible for this scholarship.

  • Atlantic City Sewerage Company
  • Elizabethtown Gas
  • CenturyLink 
  • Gordon’s Corner Water Company
  • JCP&L/A FirstEnergy Co.

National Association of Water Companies Scholarship
